This section of our website is focused on our Curriculum and provides an overview of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework and the Curriculum offer for children in Years 1 to 6. There are also sections on Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural (SMSC) Development and how we promote British Values.
In line with statutory requirements, the new Curriculum was launched in September 2014, coinciding with the introduction of the new National Curriculum in England. Below, you’ll find a overview of the curricular areas we teach in each class. If you’d like to learn a little more about our curriculum and how it’s organised, then please do let us know. We’ll be delighted to talk you through it.
The school aims to provide a curriculum which is broad, balanced and relevant, and which ensures continuity and progression through all stages of Primary Education and beyond.
All children have the opportunity to follow the same curriculum but the teaching programmes are differentiated so as to be matched to pupils’ developing abilities and attitudes. Find out more about our approach to reading and phonics.
Please visit Our Classes section of our website to find out what each class has been learning about this term.
